Google Drive works in SEQTA Teach but not SEQTA Engage
This occurs if the URI has not been entered for the school's SEQTA Engage
- Go to the link https://console.developers.google.com/project then follow the steps below to add the SEQTA Learn URI.
- Select the 'Menu' icon in the left-hand corner > 'APIs & Services' > 'Credentials'
- Click the 'Edit' icon (pencil) under OAuth 2.0 Client IDs the SEQTA ID.
- Click 'Add URI' add the SEQTA Learn URI.
- Click Save.
- Close and reopen the browser then test to ensure it's working.
Google Drive Displays Files but does Not Download them when Selected
This typically indicates the school's firewall or firewall software is blocking the download.
Checking the Integration Setup for Google Drive
The first step for troubleshooting Google drive integration issues is to check the API setup and configuration.
Step 1: Ensure the 'Google Drive API' and 'Google Picker API' have been added- Go into https://console.developers.google.com/project and log in with the school's Google account
- Click the 'Menu' (Hamburger) icon in the top-left corner > APIs & Services > Dashboard.
- The 'Google Drive API' and 'Google Picker API' should be displayed. If one or both of these is missing, click the 'Enable APIS and Services' link at the top of the page. Next, find and add in the missing API.
- Go into https://console.developers.google.com/project and log in with the school's Google account
- Click the 'Menu' (hamburger) icon in the top-left corner > APIs & Services > Credentials. This should display the 'API keys' and 'OAuth 2.0 Client IDS'.
- Click on the name of the SEQTA API Key and check to ensure 'HTTP Referrers (Web Sites)' is selected and that the address under 'Accept requests from these HTTP referrers' is in the correct format (i.e. *.schooldomain.com.au/*).
- Click 'Save' to keep changes or 'Cancel' if no changes have been made.
- Select the name of the SEQTA OAuth 2.0 client ID and ensure the schools SEQTA Teach address has been added under 'Authorized JavaScript origins'. If you're using a non-standard port, you must include it in the origin URI.
- Click 'Save' to keep changes or 'Cancel' if no changes have been made.
Resolving the Google Drive Error: The API Developer Key is Invalid
This error indicates the 'Google Drive API' has not been enabled. To enable go to the Google API Setup Page and complete the steps below.
- Add the Google Drive API. To do this, select Dashboard the Enable 'APIs & Services'.
- Search for 'Google Drive API' then click to select the Google Drive API.
- Click 'Enable'.
If the setup process for Google drive integration has been set up, there will be an option to access Google drive files through SEQTA using the Add Files button.
