We've been made aware of an issue that affects myEdOnline classes if your school uses a semester-based timetabling structure.
The issue appears to be caused by bridging backward (i.e. when classes are bridged from Semester 2 to Semester 1) as this causes a change in the SEQTA Class ID which does not correlate correctly to the equivalent Class ID in myEdOnline. The resultant ID changes from Bridging backward causes the Classes in myEdOnline to be moved from the 'My Classes' section to the 'Archived Classes' section and to not show for students. In order to avoid this issue, we recommend that your staff are advised to Bridge Forward Only (i.e. from Semester 1 to Semester 2), using the following steps:
- Change the date on the teacher's timetable back a few weeks until they are able to view their semester one classes.
- Click on the bridge icon.
- Under the Semester 2 timetable period (i.e. 2021S2), click on 'Select Class' and select the corresponding class to be bridged to.
- Click 'OK', then 'SAVE'.
We apologise for any inconvenience this causes. If you need further assistance with the bridging process, of if you wish to discuss this in more detail, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our Service Desk and we will be glad to be of further assistance.
