Cutoff hierarchy

The Marks book uses cutoffs to determine grades. If the cutoffs are incorrect they can be changed. See table below for information on how to determine which cutoffs are being applied and how they can be changed.

Highest priority <------------------------------------------> Lowest priority
Assessment specific -> Programme specific cut-offs  -> Course type -> Global cutoffs

Assessment specific	Will override all other cutoffs	Load programme > Overview of assessments > Edit assessment > Cutoffs pane (requires 'Allow Assessment cutoffs' to be selected in the Course type)
Programme specific	Will override cutoffs set in the Course type and Global default	Load programme > Cover page > Marks book settings
Course type	Will override cutoffs set in the Global default	Administration workspace > Curriculum setup > Course types
Global default	Global cutoffs only apply where there are no other cutoff types set	This is a site-wide setting which can be modified by the SEQTA Service desk. Email authorisation from the school's SEC required.
