The steps for creating and updating cut-off templates through the Data management page are outlined below. Always test new cut-off templates to ensure they work as required.
Changes to a cut-off template will not automatically apply to existing programmes or assessments. Once the changes or new cut-off template have been created, the teacher needs to go into the programme and edit the 'Marks book' settings, or 'Assessment' settings and select the cut-off template.
Creating and Managing Cut-Off Templates
- Go to the Administration Workspace > Data Management > Cut-Off Templates.
- To create a new cut-off template, click 'Add Record' in the top-left corner. Alternatively, click on an existing cut-off template to edit.
- Enter a Label for the cut-off template.
- Enter the Cut-Offs in the required format (see below), then click 'Save'.
Deleting a Cut-Off Template
Deleting a cut-off template will not affect any programmes or assessments which have applied the cut-off template.
- Go to the Administration Workspace > Data Management > Cut-Off Templates.
- Select the cut-off and click Delete > Confirm.
Required Format (Syntax) for Cut-Offs
The following are examples showing the required syntax for cut-off templates. Schools can create their own cut-offs based on their school processes, policies and reporting requirements.
The school's SEQTA Client Engagement Specialist is available to assist with the creation of cut-off templates and can be contacted through the SEQTA Service Desk.
