Assessments can be created from three locations within the Programme page. Each assessment has setting associated that allow teachers full control to manage the assessment and feedback visibility, assessment due dates, submission methods and more.
- Go to the Teaching Workspace > Timetable > Calendar.
- Click on the class, then click on the class again, and select New Programme.
- Click on the Load Programme icon for the class.
- Select Overview of Assessments.
- Click the "+" icon at the top of the assessment pane to add a new assessment. Alternatively, click and existing assessment to edit.
- Set the assessment up as required:
- Set the Title for the assessment.
- Set the assessment Assessment group, and weighting.
- Set the criterion type and if required add additional criterion. Link criterion to syllabus (if syllabus have been added to the planner).
- If required select or create a Rubric.
- Set the availability of the Custom column as required (available only if enabled in the Marksbook settings).
- Set the 'Marking type' to Marks (numbers) or Graded (letters). If this setting does not show it indicates the Course type selected for the programme is not Mixed-Mode.
- Set the Availability and due date.
- If required enable online Submissions.
- Set the 'Expectations and Reflection' feedback option to Whole Assessment. (overall) or Individual Criterion.
- Configure the 'Student Expectations (PRE)' and 'Student Reflection (POST)'.
- Select the Online Submission Method and configure when submissions are Allowed.
- Set the Reporting Options, if unsure leave these enabled.
- Add the Checklist Item, to do this click the add button to enter a checklist item, then type in the item name, repeat to add additional items.
- Add available assessment resources. To do this enter a name for the resource, then select either Name Only, Web Link (to add a URL) or File (to select a file to upload).
- Select link a forum to create a Forum for the assessment.
- Enter the Assessment overview using the editor. This may be used for the assessment description.
- Configure the Cutoffs / Grading Scale (Only available if enabled in the Course Type).
- Click Save to keep the changes.
