Untimetabled classes can be created through the Teaching workspace and are typically used for reporting or to allow teachers to programme ahead ready for next years classes. See below for details of permissions required to create and manage Untimetabled classes.
Untimetabled Class Creation and Management Permissions
The following permissions are required to edit untimetabled classes:
- 'UN-TT: ADD' - Allows use user to create and manage their own Untimetabled classes.
- 'UNTT: EDIT' - Allows the user to create and manage Untimetabled classes for all staff.
Creating and Editing Untimetabled Classes
- Click Teaching Workspace > Timetable > My Classes
- Select the +New Untimetabled Class button. Alternatively, click on the Edit icon to edit an existing class
- Set the students as required Students (optional).
- Set the Subject and the Timetable period.
- If creating the class on behalf of another teacher select their name.
- If there are multiple classes in the same cohort enter a number.
- Click Save.
Enrolling and Unenrolling Students from Untimetabled Classes
- Go to the Teaching Workspace > Timetable > My Classes.
- If working on behalf of another teacher select there name from the top of the work area
- Select the Edit This Class icon for the class.
- Add students by selecting their name from the drop-down. Alternatively, clicking on the Broom icon or remove students from the class.
- Click Save.
Deleting an Untimetabled class
Before deleting an untimetabled class, please ensure the programme has been unattached. The steps for this process are available in the article Un-Sharing (Un-Attaching) Programmes and Marksbooks from Classes.
- Go to the Teaching Workspace > Timetable > My Classes.
- Click the Edit This Class icon (pencil icon
), on the class you would like to edit.
- Click Delete, then click Delete.
