Parents will receive multiple emails if 'Plain message' mode is not selected when emailing through Correspondence. When using the other modes ('Basic student data', 'Pastoral care data', 'Attendance data') the system needs to be able to merge the student information into the email, hence there will be one email per student.
This may also occur when two contact types for a student (eg. 'Father' and 'Mother') have the same email. We recommend this be resolved either by:
- Changing the sync rule to flag only one contact type (eg. if Father and Mother have the same email, then only flag Mother). Please note email authorisation from the school's delegated STC is required for us to make this change.
- Changing the data in Synergetic so that contact does not meet the requirements to be flagged for email in SEQTA based on the sync rule currently in place. The Service desk can provide details of the rule for review to the STC on request.
