Notifications are triggered when certain events occur, (i.e. when a Direqt message is received), when an assessment has been submitted, or when a report has completed (for reports that are run as a background process). Refer to this article for more information on triggers.
Notifications can be accessed by selecting the 'Avatar' icon in the top-right corner. The 'Avatar' may be a staff photo, or when one is unavailable a letter. The number of unread notification is displayed on the 'Avatar' icon.
The SEQTA Learn and SEQTA Engage apps will send a push notification to the device to display the notification onscreen. This feature can be disabled by accessing the notification settings for the SEQTA App on the device itself.
Accessing Notifications
Click the 'Avatar' icon in the top-right corner, to open the Notification panel.
Checking Notifications
Depending on the Notification type, clicking the Notification may perform an action, (i.e. to open to a particular assessment), or prompt to open a completed report.
Managing Notifications
- Select the 'X' to remove a Notification. If working in SEQTA Learn or SEQTA Engage Apps, swipe the notification to remove it.
- 'Clear' to remove ALL Notifications.
- Select 'Refresh' to check for new Notifications.
Closing the Notification Panel
Click the 'Avatar' icon to close the Notification panel.
Refreshing the notification pane
The system checks for new notifications on 5 minute intervals, for example, if a report finished at 4.30 in the cycle it will notify you 30 seconds later.
If this doesn't appear to be working (Direct messages are a good way to test as it should never take more then 5 mins for the notification to show), then try clear the caches of the browser, if that still doesn't work check to ensure the browser is up-to-date.
