Contact accounts can be created and managed directly in SEQTA. This is only recommended for schools that do not manage contact records in an external system or who would like an account for testing purposes.
Before creating a new contact record, check to ensure there is not already one there and also that the code you would like to use for the new record is not already in use.
- Go to the Administration Workspace > Data Management > Guardians (Contacts)
- Select 'Add Record' from the toolbar. Alternatively, to edit an existing contact record, type part of their name in the search box in the top left-hand corner, then select the appropriate record.
- Fill in the following fields:
Field Name Details Example Code This code must be unique. If it matches an account in the school's Admin system the record will be synced. JOEB Salutation This will be used in correspondence to the parent Mr Joe Blake Title Mr Firstname Joe Surname Blake Username Required to log in with account Internally Managed Tick if contact is to be managed directly through SEQTA joe.blake Password Required to log in using Internal authentication 54BlueDog Gender M email@example.com
