Correspondence Permissions
The following Permissions can be used to enable or disable access to various correspondence types. These can be accessed through the Administration Workspace > Permission Management.
It is not possible to prevent the email 'Students' option being available through the 'Attendance Roll' page and 'Marks Books' without removing the email address from the student's record in SEQTA.

Application Settings
The following Application Settings can be used to enable or disable Direqt Messaging for a module, which recipient type (Student, Tutor etc.) are available for selection when sending a Direqt Message. These can be accessed through the Administration Workspace > Application Settings.

The merge field {body} must be included otherwise information entered into the SMSes sent through the Correspondence page will not be included in the SMS. |
'Notification' Options Not Available When Creating a Pastoral Care Note
The Permission to send Pastoral Care Notifications, both via email or Direqt message, is controlled by the one Permission 'EMAIL: STAFF'.
NOTE: To control whether the notifications in SIP are via 'Email' or 'Direqt Message' click on Administration Workspace > Application Settings > search for SIP > under SEQTA Teach, select Enabled or Disabled for 'Use Direqt Messaging for Pastoral Care Alert Messages'.
Disabling the Option for Staff to Direqt Message Other Staff
This Option Cannot be Disabled.
Access to the Correspondence Page
The Correspondence Page can be used to send out bulk emails, SMSes and Direqt Messages to all Students, Contacts and Staff. Due to this, School's may limit which Staff have access to this page to key Administration and Attendance Staff.
Access to the Correspondence logs
Access to the Correspondence logs should be allocated with care as they will include Pastoral Care Notification emails (or Direqt Messages) for Restricted Pastoral Care Notes which may include sensitive information.
