Each night the system will check for unresolved absences and set the Attendance alerts accordingly. The process can be set to run at different times on request. Email authorisation from the School Education contact is required.
Any Attendance alerts will remain for the day, even once all of the students absences have been resolved. Additionally, students that have new unresolved absences entered, will not display an Attendance alert until the following day.
It is recommended that the process is not set to run during hours of heavy usage, so as not to put the server under load.
What to do if the system does not remove an Attendance alert flag as expected
Run report called Absences (unresolved) (linear view) which is available through the Administration workspace > Attendance administration > Reporting.
This report will display absences that may not be visible under the standard attendance view. For example, if the absence only covers a small percentage of the class. See Understanding attendance priorities for more detailed information.
