This article outlines the process for adding LearningField content through the SEQTA Legacy Editor and SEQTA Creator.
The LearningField integration setup process needs to be completed for the LearningField integration to work in SEQTA.
Embedding LearningField content into a lesson
Teachers can use the steps below to embed a book or library from LearningField, into their 'Online Lessons'. This option is also available on the Programme Cover page under Overview.
- Go to the Teaching workspace > Timetable > My classes > Load programme > Online lesson editor > select lesson
- If using the 'Legacy editor' module, select INSERT > LEARNINGFIELD. Alternately, drag the 'LearningField content' module onto the work area.
- Enter the book URL. If this is not available, select Launch Library or Launch LearningField Bookholder and click OK. This will open LearningField in a new window to allow you to find and copy the book URL (steps below).
- Click Apply or OK to keep the change.
Finding a book URL in LearningField
The LearningField book or Library URL can be found in LearningField. The steps below outline this process. (they may vary slightly).
- Access LearningField directly. Alternatively, click on the Launch LearningField Bookholder button (LearningField module) or Launch Library (Legacy module) in SEQTA Creator, to access LearningField.
- In LearningField, type a keyword into the search box to find the book required
- Click Adopt, then click the Preview button.
- If this is the first time accessing LearningField, you will be directed to the VitalSource Bookshelf website, where you will need to register your name and email address to allow you to continue. This is a once off registration.
- Click on the paper-clip (link icon) in the bottom-right corner.
- Copy the URL for the Book.
- Return to SEQTA into the lesson to which the Book needs to be added. Click on the cog icon (Learning field module), or the placeholder (legacy module), then enter the URL. Be sure to delete the '#/' from the URL after pasting otherwise it will not work.
- Click Apply (if using Learning field module) or OK (if using the Legacy editor module)
